Our Network

US Metropolitan Telecom built an integrated flexible and future centric network with a fiber optic backbone, the latest technology to support transport layers (DWDM, SONET, ETHERNET, IP, MPLS), and a robust carrier-class softswitch for digital voice services.

US Metro's network spans 640 route miles connecting Fort Myers, Naples, Miami, Tampa and Orlando, with significant penetration in the central business districts of both Fort Myers and Naples. Additionally, the US Metro network provides carrier-to-carrier handoff, Tier 1 Internet Access and PSTN delivery as it connects major Southwest Florida metro areas.

US Metro's customer distribution ability is enabled significantly via its presence at Central Offices (CO), carrier hotels and IP traffic aggregation points throughout Southwest Florida.

US Metro's core node is a category 5 hurricane-rated facility monitored 24/7/365. It is equipped to support mission critical services by utilizing a redundant infrastructure design, inclusive of fiber and power.
